I took the train to New Hope to go to my mom's. I had to borrow her car to drive to my dad's house to go with them to see my little sister in her high-school's production of "Bye Bye Birdie". On the way, I drove past the motel where I worked as a housekeeper one summer. It was kind of a "rendevous" spot. One of the grossest things to ever happen to me happened there. Some of you may have heard this story. It involves making a bed, a wetspot, and me thinking it's ok to not wear gloves. But I digress...

"Upgrade You" is one of my new favorite songs, other than "Throw Some D's On It".

"One In A Million" kills both of those, you know it's true.

I love driving.

WOAHH, ok, calm down, you don't have to go back, I swear...deep breaths.

Ok, I'm good. Whew.

My Dad had to work the will-call table.

That's lil' sis on the right.

This is what bars are like in musicals.

Brava, D!

Back at Mom's, I call them Buttercups, my mom said they were something-or-other else. I can't remember. WHatever they are, umm, it's springtime!!! Or close to it at least.

I took Max for a walk in the back. I use to go back here all the time when I was in highschool.

I think it's good for a kid, especially a neurotic, anxiety-ridden, shy, naive, nerdy kid, to have a place to come where she can be completely alone. I mean, no one could ever find me when I came out here.

If I'd been a different kind of kid, I could have used that to my advantage to get into all kinds of trouble. But I didn't.

I would try to get really close to deer, and stare at clouds, and look at plants, and find hidden paths. And bring books and read, a lot of reading in the grass on a blanket.

Deerhoof.

You can't see them too well, but way back in that field by the trees, there's about 20 deer.

Back to the city! I'm going to see Nymph at Sin-e.

I walked in and remembered that Ghost Moth was the opening band, and Ghost moth is fronted by this guy, I think.

But I really can't lie, I love Nymph, and they were who I was there to see. I don't front like I know anything about jazz, free-jazz, jazz-funk, jazz-noise, fusion, fusion-noise-jazzy-funk, etc...

But Nymph is my absolute-favorite band right now. And that is also not fronting because it's true.

Holy shit they are good.

They put me in a trance.

Then I walked home, and, as always, scoping out people's trash...wait... what the fuck? That is so wierd. (reference here).

Woke up today, slept late, relaxed lots.

Can you see the snow? It keeps coming and going.
