This was where we stayed the night we spent at Grand Canyon.
A little complex of simple cabins nestled into thick pine forest not too far from the rim.
The smell of the pines was heavenly. I could have stayed there a week with my eyes closed, simply breathing.
We got there, and decided we would go eat at this restaurant that is overlooking the canyon. This was pretty much right outside our window as we ate.
Oh, you city-folk...
People just kind of walk around, and stare at it. It's really hard to look at, because it's just so vast, too big to really wrap your head around.
See the Mountain Goat?!
This was a big item in the stores there. If only they knew how cool they are by selling dreamcatchers.
That's the Colorado River.
We went to this other part, because it was supposed to be a good spot to sit and watch the sunset.
It was a little cloudy, but it was still pretty nice to see.
Aiiii-Yee!
So we stayed until long after everyone else had left that spot, and it was pitch-dark. I started to get really freaked out about bears, and scorpions, and anything else that could kill/eat us.
Erica just laughed at me, and so we just hung out until the next shuttle came, and then we went back to our cabin.
We had to wake up really early in the morning, but it was already so sunny out.
On our way out of the park, we stopped at this over look that we hadn't been to the previous day.
That's all change. Why do people do that?
There are a lot of Ravens at Grand Canyon National Park. I chased this one for a second to get a picture of him. They're huge!
